Outplacement is a support service helping former employees’ transition to new jobs. Outplacement is a humane approach of the employer in case of downsizing (dismissal) situation supporting both the employer and the former employee during the often demanding period of leaving the company with professional carrier consultancy services.
Our advisory activity towards employees encompasses continuous support regarding orientation on the job market and reintegration into working life.
We do not take over the task of job hunting from the employee but offer professional guidance along the way “How to do it right yourself”.
Individual Outplacement is a service package customized for the person, helping and supporting the person leaving the company, to decide upon future professional life and carrier opportunities.
Group Outplacement developed originally from job search consultancy business. It is targeting employer’s management on one hand and employees affected by the layoffs on the other hand. Group sessions are useful and effective in case of high volume layoffs.
About the process
Final thematic of the Outplacement is worked out after consulting the Client on background, reasons of layoffs and taking into consideration number of participants.
The Outplacement starts with an informative introductory presentation on the essence of the service, its benefits and realization. Finally, an action plan is agreed mutually. During the structured personal interview, mapping the professional experiences and competencies (strengths and development areas) of the coachee are in focus. Further, we collect information from the coachee on his/her expectations in respect of the new employer, and prepare an action plan, which contains information on the searching opportunities, channels of the labour market, role and usage of the social network. We support the coachee in preparing application documents, in analysing job ads, determining target markets and profiles, setting up guidelines, and in the application campaign. The application training includes also interview techniques, like phone “etiquette”, business look and appearance, adequate communication, questions that might arise and might be raised on an interview, salary negotiations, as well as basic information on labour law, labour market and consultancy in administrative issues. We discuss opportunities of mobilizing connection network and improving application strategy. On demand our Senior Coach colleagues provide carrier consultancy, mental and emotional backing and support this way employee’s success in finding a new job and dealing with negative experiences. Our Client receives feedback from us at each milestone. Outplacement sessions can also cover further additional issues important for the job seeker.
