SAP BW Technical Management Engineer (m/f/d)

In the Platform Team – Business Intelligence Core – you will play a pivotal role in advancing and maintaining the Corporate Reporting Platform, predominantly built on SAP Business Warehouse. As part of our client's team, you will actively contribute to the ongoing development and operation of this platform.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Management: You will oversee the technical aspects of the system, collaborating closely with the SAP Basis team. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of the SAP Business Warehouse, including regular maintenance tasks, continuous service improvement, housekeeping, and support in test activities.
• Architectural Quality Assurance: Your role will involve providing consultancy on projects and change requests, as well as ensuring the quality of custom code developed by the team. You will establish and maintain rules and guidelines to uphold quality standards.
• Operation of BW 7.5 and BW/4HANA As our client transitions towards BW/4HANA, you will play a crucial role in preparing the current systems and supporting future projects with the team.
• Software Development and Management: You will engage in software development independently and oversee development projects in collaboration with internal colleagues or external service providers.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business informatics, business administration with an IT focus, or computer science with a business administration focus. Alternatively, a comparable vocational training with extensive IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT-related roles.
• Proficiency in operating SAP Business Warehouse, with a keen understanding of SAP Basis collaboration.
• Experience in ABAP/ABAP OO within the BW environment and strong knowledge of native SQL.
• Clear and effective communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Comfortable working in an international team environment.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and a DevOps mindset.
• In-depth knowledge of HANA native development.
• Proficiency in frontend tools for SAP BW such as SAP Analytics Cloud or Analysis for Office.
