The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a skilled Big Data Engineer to join their established team in Madrid. This team develops and maintains data platforms used by the entire group on an international scale. The focus will be on designing and optimizing ETL processes within a DevOps-driven environment. This is a unique opportunity to work on impactful, globally integrated projects in a supportive and innovative team setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to process and manage large datasets.
  • Leverage DevOps practices to automate deployments and ensure platform scalability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver efficient data integration solutions supporting global operations.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot data workflows to maintain high standards of data quality and integrity.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the organization’s data architecture and participate in technology selection.

Your Profile

  • Solid experience as a Big Data Engineer, Data Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Advanced expertise in ETL processes and pipeline development.
  • Hands-on experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, including CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
