As part of this transformation, they are building a robust cloud-native computing product family and are looking for a skilled Container Security Specialist to join their team.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and confident Container Security Specialist to oversee and secure Kubernetes clusters deployed worldwide. This role is critical in ensuring the security and integrity of containerized applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Kubernetes and container security, with a proven track record in enhancing cybersecurity within complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable Kubernetes clusters.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a focus on security best practices.
  • Implement security measures and controls for containerized applications and Kubernetes environments.
  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing on infrastructure and applications.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure security policies are applied and maintained.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts in Kubernetes environments.
  • Automate security processes and controls using tools and scripts.
  • Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques relevant to Kubernetes and containerized environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and operations.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and tools for securing Kubernetes (e.g., Istio, Calico, Aqua Security).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and their security services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Kubernetes certification (CKA, CKAD, CKS).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and related security considerations.
  • Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
