Role Overview:
As a Middleware Engineer (iPaaS API Integration), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining integration solutions for a diverse range of cloud and on-premise systems. Your expertise in API management, event-driven architectures, and iPaaS platforms will help ensure that the integration platform is secure, scalable, and aligned with the business needs. You will collaborate with global teams to define integration strategies, play a key role in optimizing data flows, and contribute to the development of robust and reliable systems that support our global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration Solutions: Design, implement, and maintain integration solutions that connect diverse systems, both cloud-based (Azure) and on-premise, through iPaaS platforms (e.g., Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus).
- API Management: Develop and manage APIs, ensuring they meet industry standards for performance, security, and scalability.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure integration solutions adhere to best practices in secure data sharing and compliance with industry standards (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
- Automation & CI/CD: Work with tools like Azure DevOps and GitHub to automate workflows, implement CI/CD pipelines, and streamline the development process.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams globally, engaging with both technical experts and business stakeholders to define integration requirements.
- Event-Driven Architectures: Design and implement event-driven architectures that ensure seamless, real-time data flow between systems.
- Middleware Frameworks: Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of middleware frameworks, refining integration patterns and standards.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Document integration solutions, best practices, and technical guidelines. Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and technical workshops within the Middleware Chapter.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Education: At least a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in application and data integration, with hands-on experience in building and managing APIs and middleware solutions.
- API Integration: Strong understanding of API management tools (e.g., Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus) and protocols (REST/JSON).
- Cloud Experience: Practical experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud, including services like Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Service Bus.
- Event-Driven Architectures: Knowledge of event-driven architectures and how they facilitate seamless integration.
- Coding Knowledge: Proficient in coding and troubleshooting with programming languages such as JavaScript, C#, or Python.
- Automation & DevOps: Familiarity with tools for automating workflows and managing code, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD processes.
- Security Standards: Understanding of secure data-sharing methods and technologies (OAuth, JWT).
- Testing & Documentation: Comfortable using tools like Postman, Swagger, and OpenAPI for API testing and documentation.
- Agile Experience: Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Global Collaboration: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global, cross-functional teams.

- Integration Strategy: Shape and implement integration strategies to ensure smooth and efficient data flow across diverse cloud and on-premise systems.
- Optimize API Ecosystems: Manage and optimize the API ecosystem, ensuring scalability, performance, and compliance with business goals.
- Collaboration: Work with business and tech teams globally to define and refine integration requirements and ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues across multiple systems.
What You Will Do in the Chapter:
- Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to and actively participate in the Middleware Chapter by sharing knowledge, refining integration frameworks, and helping establish best practices.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate on technical workshops, discuss industry trends, and address cross-team challenges related to integration, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior team members and contribute to developing integration strategies that drive innovation and efficiency across the organization.
