Project Controls Team Leader

Our Client is a leading integrated oil and gas company in Central and Eastern Europe, operating across more than 30 countries and headquartered in Hungary. Its core activities include the exploration and production of hydrocarbons, refining, and marketing of oil products, as well as the distribution of natural gas.

• Provide strategic guidance to the team, ensuring alignment with project objectives and company goals.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing clear and up-to-date updates on project status and performance.
• Continuously maintain and forecast the projects' financial goals.
• Participate in the Business Plan preparation.
• Regularly analyze the project portfolio financial reports, coordinate report preparation activities (projects cost control tables, portfolio review reports from financial aspects, handling of 150-200 projects).
• Act as a product owner, leading your team of project controllers in the ongoing development of a single source of truth, ensuring accurate and consistent project data.
• Monitor and manage team capacity.
• Propose actions to improve the quality of daily operations and the reporting system.
• Act as a developer by reviewing current organizational processes and continuously improving and tailoring them to meet project needs, along with industry best practices.

• MSc University degree (financial or economic experience, project management is an advantage)
• SAP knowledge is a plus, but training will be provided based on best practices.
• Good understanding of O365 – Excel, Word & PowerPoint (power applications are an advantage).
• Product Owner experience is an advantage.
• 2-5 years of professional work experience, preferably in a project financial role or working in other project management support functions in Capital Projects.
• 1-3 years of leadership experience.
• Advanced level of English knowledge, Hungarian is a must.
• Driving license.
