This role involves supporting the development of technical content, managing procurement processes, and creating implementation schedules for CARPEX projects. The candidate will monitor contractor progress, develop solutions for technical issues, and ensure project quality through supervision and control of QA and QC plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support/develop the technical content, prepare investment cost estimates, manage procurement processes, and create implementation schedules while ensuring execution aspects.
- Ensure and enforce project deadlines.
- Assist the project manager and engineers in shaping the technical content at a portfolio level.
- Assess, analyze, and suggest risk mitigation strategies for technical, financial, and deadline-related risks.
- Evaluate proposals, plans, and documents relevant to your field.
- Continuously monitor and coordinate contractor progress per the approved schedule.
- Develop technical solutions for arising problems and initiate necessary changes.
- Supervise/examine technical control tasks, including opening construction logs.
- Participate in the handover processes of on-site work areas.
- Oversee quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) plans and ensure the approval of project quality documentation.
- Participate in facility trials and commissioning.
- Support post-MC (Mechanical Completion) activities, handle warranty issues, and assist in activation and decommissioning processes.
REQUIRED QUALITIES AND SKILLS
- Higher education in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the energy, oil, and gas industries, either in construction or design
- Strong technical, project supervision, or project management experience
- Effective organizational and resource management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project
- Confident English language skills
