Working Capital Controller - Istanbul

As a Finance Professional, you will play a pivotal role in the Istanbul Finance team, responsible for overseeing the financial operations of their Istanbul Office. Working closely with Partners, you will manage the financial aspects of client-matter lifecycles and assume ownership of controlling the office's working capital. This role requires delivering precise and timely financial information to partners and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of the billing process to ensure accurate processing, billing, and timely submission of Work in Progress to clients.
  • Active involvement in the Client and Matter Inception workflow process to ensure comprehensive compliance.
  • Collaboration with partners to ensure accurate setup of matters and understanding of client finance requirements.
  • Management of local and global client rate agreements, including participation in negotiations.
  • Conduct regular working capital reviews with partners for ongoing matters.
  • Preparation of billing forecasts and provision of detailed financial information to support bills.
  • Promptly address financial inquiries from clients, partners, and fee earners.
  • Collaborate effectively with the wider finance team, partners, and clients across multiple offices.
Requirements
  • Strong commercial acumen, ideally as a qualified finance professional.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in finance roles within the legal or professional services industry.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, multitask effectively, and prioritize tasks.
  • Experience working in a multi-currency environment within an international organization is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining internal client relationships.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and adeptness in handling urgent requests.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to achieving objectives.
  • Proficiency in office tools; familiarity with Elite 3e is desirable.
