In order to expand their teams of experts in The Netherlands, we look for a Cloud Engineer to work for the Defense area:
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the execution of project activities at the client, as well as their management and further development.
- Dive into complex architecture and security issues on a daily basis
- Developing and managing VMware vRealize Automation application that provides Self Service Cloud Portals to users
- Developing and managing automated engineering workflows and VM deployments using VMware-based application platforms
- Maintain and scale all VMware-based cloud application platforms
- Development, testing & implementation of automation, using CI/CD tooling & best practices
- Performing upgrades (new versions of components) and updates (patches), logging, monitoring, optimization of the environments, documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- At least 5 years of experience in technical management of private cloud environments
- Familiar with hosting (IaaS and PaaS), high availability, high performance, scalability and security best practices
- Good Scripting skills especially in Ansible, Powershell, Python, YAML, Javascript
- Good knowledge of CI/CD, Container technologies (Kubernetes), Virtualization
- Knowledge in supporting tools for monitoring/logging, antivirus, etc.
- Security techniques, encryption;
- Excellent communication in Dutch and collaboration abilities
