Our client is a global leader in the automotive industry. To strengthen their accounting team at their location in the Sauerland region, near Hagen and Wuppertal; they are looking for an experienced Accountant / "Bilanzbuchhalter" (m/f/d).

Your Profile:
- Degree in Accounting or a related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting and tax
- Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with SAP is a plus
- Fluency in German and English is mandatory
- Prior experience in the automotive industry is an advantage
Your Tasks:
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of invoices and bank statements
- Issue intercompany (IC) customer invoicing and recharge invoices
- Perform bank reconciliation and manage cash allocation
- Handle month-end activities, including payroll and accrual postings
- Maintain financial records according to IFRS and local GAAP (HGB)
- Prepare and submit VAT declarations and assist external tax consultants with other tax obligations
- Optimize accounting processes and ensure accurate monthly reporting
- Coordinate accounting teams across subsidiaries and oversee intercompany reconciliations
