Technical Support Manager (PP & PE Products)

For one of our international clients, a leading global player in the polymer industry, we are looking for a skilled Technical Support Manager (PP & PE Products) in Bangladesh. This role offers the opportunity to support local operations, provide technical expertise, and contribute to innovative product solutions in the polymer market.

  • Location: Bangladesh (home office/local candidates preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to sales managers and customers, including consultations, issue resolution, and process troubleshooting.
  • Oversee product homologation procedures and provide quality feedback to support product positioning and claims management.
  • Conduct market surveys and support the development of new PP/PE products tailored to the Bangladesh market.
  • Promote and educate customers and end-users on product applications and advantages.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product Development teams on new opportunities and customer specifications.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and end-user preferences.
Main Tasks:
  • Assist customers in using products, resolving quality and supply issues, and troubleshooting processing challenges.
  • Introduce and support homologation of new and existing products.
  • Document and manage technical service-related processes.
  • Provide input for product improvements to meet local standards and market needs.
  • Facilitate new product testing at customer sites.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, including Sales, Product Development, and Operations, to share insights and support projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Technology with a focus on polymer materials.
  • Extensive knowledge of polymer processing technology (e.g., extrusion).
  • At least 5 years of experience in polyolefins, with familiarity with PP/PE grades and regional market specifics.
  • Strong command of English (upper-intermediate or higher); proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook; knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team orientation, and adaptability to frequent travel within Bangladesh.

  • Ability to travel frequently for on-site customer support.
