Method Manager

Our client is a multinational manufacturing corporation in Central Hungary. The plant specializes in the production and assembly of energy-efficient products, reflecting the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Process

  • Pilot and adapt internal and external capacity planning based on customer needs.
  • Design and optimize manufacturing, warehousing, and MP&H processes.
  • Optimize processes for specific projects, particularly complex ETO designs and large-scale projects.
  • Define, validate, and continuously improve the manufacturing times referential.
  • Actively participate in the introduction and industrialization of new products and processes.
  • Ensure investment profitability and monitor the Return on Investment (ROI).

Continuous Improvemen

t
  • Optimize industrial performance in terms of safety, quality, lead time, productivity, and space utilization, leveraging SIM (Short Interval Management).
  • Contribute to the periodic industrial process improvement plan.
  • Lead the creation and updates of Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (PFMEA) in collaboration with CS&Q, ensuring the successful implementation of process evolutions.

Job / Skills Development

  • Provide training and support to manufacturing workers, including ergonomics best practices.
  • Develop, update, and ensure compliance with technical documents and procedures.
  • Support new product and process industrialization with a strong technical background in LADM, PFMEA, and process optimization.

Information Systems & Data Management

  • Update and maintain performance data in the information system (displayed on SIM dashboard).
  • Oversee the management and accuracy of industrial factory data, including BOMs, routings, and process data.
  • Ensure data reliability through an owner network managed by PMDM.
  • Ensure continuous updating and accuracy of technical documentation and procedures

Leadership & Strategic Responsibilities

  • Lead the Methods function (and Maintenance if not separated) within the entity.
  • Expertise in SPS, process design, ergonomics, capacity planning, simulation tools, investment, cost analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Manage hierarchical responsibilities, including team management and budget accountability.
  • Strong contribution to driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Oversee the retrofit and renewal of production means (internal and OG tools & machines) in collaboration with the Industrial Deployment Team, as well as the implementation of new equipment.

REQUIRED QUALITIES AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing methods, or process optimization in a production environment.
  • Previous experience in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) is highly preferred.
  • Experience in leading teams and managing cross-functional projects in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong background in capacity planning, process design, and industrial performance optimization.
