Are you a qualified legal professional with experience in immigration law and a passion for helping people start a new chapter in their lives? We’re looking for an Immigration Legal Advisor to support individuals and families relocating to Portugal, ensuring their legal pathways are smooth, compliant, and successful.
The Role
In this client-facing position, you’ll advise on a wide range of immigration processes, from residence permits and citizenship requests to tax and social security registrations. You’ll represent clients before public authorities and guide them through every step of their relocation journey from a legal standpoint.
What You'll Be Doing
- Advising on Portuguese immigration law, including residence permits, work visas, citizenship and Golden Visa applications.
- Assisting with administrative procedures such as obtaining Tax ID numbers (NIF), Social Security Numbers (NISS), and EU residency certificates (CRUE).
- Representing clients in interactions with public institutions such as SEF/AIMA and other governmental bodies.
- Monitoring legal and policy developments in immigration law and communicating their implications to clients and colleagues.
- Collaborating with internal consultants and external service providers to ensure legal accuracy and a smooth customer experience.
- Supporting corporate immigration matters, including employer-sponsored permits and compliance.
Who We're Looking For
- Degree in Law and registration with the Portuguese Bar Association (Ordem dos Advogados).
- Practical experience with Portuguese immigration procedures, especially the Golden Visa.
- Familiarity with administrative processes for obtaining NIF, NISS and CRUE.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of other languages such as French or Spanish is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a structured and proactive approach to legal problem-solving.
- Based in Lisbon, Setúbal or surrounding areas, with availability to attend appointments when needed.
- Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working both independently and in team settings.
