The Position
In this role, you will lead an innovative R&D project while managing a small team of technicians. Acting as the bridge between various collaborators, you will oversee the development, qualification, validation, and implementation of a new diagnostic test. The test requires working with both established and emerging methods, including single-cell analysis, MACS, cell sorting, NGS, and qPCR. This is a full-time, on-site position that demands a problem-solving mindset and continuously exploring ways to improve and optimize the process, ensuring it meets both scientific and business objectives.
Where Will You Work?
You will join an international company with branch laboratories in the Netherlands, driving research in the field of diagnostics. The company fosters close collaborations with various organisations as well as other leading Dutch and international academic institutes.
Qualifications:
- PhD in biomedical, biopharmaceutical, or related sciences
- Extensive experience in assay development and validation, preferably in diagnostics
- Extensive knowledge on routine and non-routine tests using a variety of technical equipment, e.g. cell separation tools (mandatory), FACS (mandatory), qPCR (mandatory), MACS (preferable), NGS (preferable).
- Ability to work with tight deadlines, experience in project management or product development is preferable.
- Leadership abilities to guide and inspire a small team of technicians
- Collaborative mindset with strong decision-making skills
- Excellent proficiency in English
